Mechanical protection
The metal mesh that sits against the component. It gives the blanket its shape and stands up to abrasion and machine vibration.
PremiumAISI 304 stainless mesh · up to 0.28 mm StandardAISI 304 stainless mesh · up to 0.28 mm
Removable, waterproof and reusable thermal insulation, custom-made for each hot component.
The blanket is built in layers: a hot face rated for the component temperature, an insulating core and a waterproof cold face. The assembly is sewn and fastened onto the equipment with springs and velcro.
The result is a barrier that keeps the outer surface around 55 °C even with the component above 375 °C, and that can be removed and refitted in minutes for inspection.
From the mesh against the hot component to the outer face the operator touches. Pick a number to see each layer.

The textile barrier that takes the direct heat from the exhaust, turbo or pipework.
PremiumSilica fabric · up to 1,000 °C StandardCeramic fibre fabric · up to 1,200 °C
The core that holds the heat back. The thickness of this layer is what sets the outer face temperature.
PremiumNeedlemat blanket · up to 650 °C · up to 100 mm StandardCeramic fibre blanket · up to 1,260 °C · up to 100 mm
The outer skin, impermeable to oil, fuel, water and hydraulic fluid. This is the face the operator touches.
